Adrian Colwell
Founder / Manager
Adrian Colwell is an experienced arts administrator and event organiser. He graduated from IADT Dun Laoghaire with an MB in Cultural Event Management in 2019. Adrian has worked for numerous different organisations on the Irish arts scene including the Arts Council of Ireland, Visual Artists Ireland and the Irish Visual Artists Rights Organisation. He is also has an extensive background in the visual arts and graphic design having completed a BA Hons Degree in Visual Arts Practice in 2011.
Adrian has produced or assisted in the production of numerous successful arts events as part of his administrative work geared towards networking and skill-sharing in the arts sector.
Drag & Draw’s ethos is influenced by Adrians own arts-related interests: that of accessibility, inclusivity and social value through the arts.
Ailbhe O’Connor
Facilitator / Drawing Instructor
Ailbhe O’Connor is a Dublin-based artist with an undergraduate in Visual Arts Practice from IADT Dun Laoghaire.
In 2012 Ailbhe co-founded Flat_Pack Gallery & Studios on Brunswick St, Stoneybatter, Dublin 7. Over its lifespan, Flat_Pack hosted many visual arts showings and philosophical debates.
Over the last decade, Ailbhe has worked in advertising, film, the arts, and education. During this time Ailbhe has been preoccupied with using creative methods to bring about social change. In 2016 Ailbhe graduated from the School for Artistic Activism (C4AA). Ailbhe is currently pursuing a Master of Business Degree in Cultural Event Management also from IADT Dun Laoghaire.
Áine Macken
Facilitator / Drawing Instructor
Áine Macken is a Dublin based artist, who graduated with an MA Art in the Contemporary World from NCAD in 2009, having previously completed a BA(HONS) in Visual Art in DLIADT in 2005. She founded and curated nightlife workshops Art Clash in 2012. She has exhibited throughout Ireland and in the UK, including solo shows in Monstertruck Gallery&Studios (Dublin), The Greenroom Gallery (Cork), and Pallas Contemporary
Projects (Dublin), curatorial projects include Art Clash, Stargaze Indoor Arts Festival, D-Light Studios (Dublin), Dublin Pride Official Exhibition and Never Never and Elsewhere in The Exchange (Dublin), and selected group shows include MAC (Birmingham), Copper House Gallery (Dublin), Temple Bar Gallery&Studios (Dublin), The Digital Hub (Dublin), Arklow Arts Centre (Wicklow), the Axis Arts Centre (Dublin), The Little Ghost Gallery, (Kilkenny), Custom House (Mayo) and she has also been involved in collaborative projects in the Lab (Dublin), and Dublin City Gallery, The Hugh Lane.
